Dr. Johnny Wu was born and raised in Riverview, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Dr. Wu went on to earn his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1997 from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine where he met friend and now business partner Dr. Felix Esarey. In 1998 Dr. Wu completed his Podiatric Residency Program at Columbus Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. After completing his residency Dr. Wu operated his own 2 location practice in the Chicago area. Dr. Wu joined his friend Dr. Esarey at Tri-County Podiatry in May of 2008. Dr. Wu has enjoyed the uniqueness of The Villages and for meeting different people from all walks of life with interesting stories. The Villages is a melting pot of many cultures, and ages, activity levels and backgrounds. People here desire an active and healthy lifestyle no matter their numerical age. Dr. Wu prides himself on being personable and listening to his patients. He spends extra time working with his patients and he works hard to incorporate his patient’s wishes into his treatment plan, as he feels that patients know their own body best. Outside of the office Dr. Wu enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, as well as playing golf and softball. He enjoys following his favorite sports teams including the Michigan Wolverines and any Detroit sports team (yes even the Lions). What surprises people most about Dr. Wu? Most people are surprised to find out he is older than he looks. Dr. Wu is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Wu is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. |
